Why was the Health for Life Fund set up?

The Health for Life Fund was set up to establish, support and promote the material, emotional, psychological and physical welfare of the elderly. The Fund also aims to enable quality and affordable community-based services.

What does the Health for Life Fund support?

The fund aims to the support seniors in various ways; including the following:

Supporting the care needs of seniors

in nursing homes and other elderly facilities. This includes financial assistance as well as initiatives for seniors, including vulnerable seniors, to age in place.

Research and pilot projects

that can identify needs or gaps in services, as well as opportunities to improve health outcomes

Management of volunteers

including recruitment of volunteers, conducting volunteer orientation and other volunteer management activities and holding volunteer appreciation event

Engagement of our community and public

to participate in the cause of the Health for Life Fund, to enable active and healthy seniors, and families with their caregiving needs.

Our Mission

To establish, support and promote the varying welfare needs (material, emotional, psychological and physical) of the elderly and others who are in need of intermediate and long term care.

To promote the advancement of health care needs in the community, especially for the elderly, those in need of intermediate and long-term care, and/or those in need of assistance, at affordable rates.

To promote mental wellness, active ageing, dental care and other forms of care, support and advancement for the elderly and others in need of intermediate and long term care

Our Strategic Partnerships

Health for Life Fund has a strategic partnership with NTUC Health to implement its programmes. NTUC Health is one of the largest eldercare service providers in Singapore with a suite of services that include the following

Senior care centres support working families in caring for their elderly loved ones

Under the guidance of our professional physiotherapists, physiotherapy can improve muscle strength, flexibility and mobility, as well as relieve pain.

Active ageing hubs and senior activity centres provide opportunities for seniors to interact with peers and provide mutual support

Sheltered homes provide residential care for ambulant seniors who need accommodation

Rehabilitation and wellness services (i.e Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech Therapy) support patients in improving their mobility and
wellbeing

Nursing homes provide 24-7 care and support rehabilitation back to the community where possible

Community-based care and support provide intervention care for vulnerable seniors who require additional support

How to donate to the Health for Life Fund?

There are 4 ways for you to make your donation to HLF.

As an Institution of a Public Character (IPC), HLF donors who donate a minimum sum of S$100 are entitled to claim 2.5 times tax deduction from IRAS based on the amount donated.

  1. Make a donation via Paylah/PayNow to HLF by scanning the QR code. Please submit your full name, NRIC, or UEN Number together with your transaction ID to (email) for tax exemption. As an Institution of a Public Character (IPC), HLF donors who donate a minimum sum of $100 are entitled to claim a 2.5 times tax deduction from IRAS based on the amount donated.

Whistleblowing Policy: The Whistleblowing Policy (“Policy”) documents the avenues and processes for employees and any other parties to report genuine concerns about improprieties in financial reporting and other malpractices within NTUC Health For Life Fund Ltd. (“HLF”). It also offers assurances to whistleblowers that they will be protected from reprisals or victimisation.

Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) Policy: The PDPA governs the collection, use, disclosure, and care of individuals’ personal data by organisations in a manner that recognises both the right of individuals to protect their personal data and the need of organisations to collect, use, disclose and care of personal data for purposes that a reasonable person would consider appropriate in the circumstances.
